The stories we want to tell next
Issue 01 will feature the first Evinca honorees. These are the kinds of work we hope to read about.
Cohort 1 is by invitation. Invited teams submit dossiers from November 2026 to January 2027, two blind reviews follow, and the first honors are published in April 2027. Every honoree is offered a feature. Nobody can pay for one.
- A ward that cut patient falls, and kept counting for a whole year.
- Sepsis recognition that works on a busy general ward, not only in intensive care.
- Antibiotic stewardship in a small or district hospital, with prescribing data to show for it.
- A discharge conversation redesigned for patients who speak another language.
- A community health worker programme that reached people the clinic never saw.
- A nurse- or pharmacist-led fix for a medication error that kept recurring.
- A teaching programme whose graduates changed practice, with evidence beyond a satisfaction survey.
- A leader who built a culture where more incident reports meant more learning, not more blame.
- An early-career professional whose small project closed a real gap between services.
- A team that tried something, found it did not work, and published why.
