Methodology · Pilot rubric v0.1
How We Review
We publish the method before we publish the recognition. An honest “not yet” is part of credible review.
Every honor has published criteria, independent human review, conflict controls, and a public record anyone can check.
Four steps, held in public.
- 01
Eligibility and integrity gates
We confirm the contribution fits the category, check identity and, where relevant, professional registration, and screen out patient data. These are pass or fail, separate from scoring.
- 02
Two independent evidence reviews
Two reviewers score the file separately against the published rubric. Names, photos and employers are hidden by default. Country stays visible so context can be considered.
- 03
Adjudication and a human decision
If scores differ by more than 15 points, or anyone raises an integrity flag, an adjudicator reviews the file. AI can flag missing fields; it never makes a decision.
- 04
A public record that can change
The holder approves the public summary. Records can later be corrected, expire or be revoked, and the status history stays visible.
The pilot rubric
Pilot values for testing. They have not been validated and will change after calibration.
Live certificate issuance
Spotlight requires one independent review and one verified colleague confirmation. Distinction and Honor require two independent reviews. Administrators coordinate and decide; they cannot score cases. Reviewers receive a redacted evidence packet and cannot see each other’s scores.
Each case uses a published threshold locked before review begins. All reviewers must recommend publication and pass the integrity gate. Honor requires a recorded panel rationale; a score gap above 15 points requires adjudication. Unresolved integrity concerns block issuance. The recipient must approve the public summary.
Loading calibration policies…
Issued details are frozen. Certificates carry a QR link to the public record, where any later revocation is shown. Downloads are disabled for revoked records.
Levels of recognition
Levels are competitive distinctions. They are never career grades, and they can never be bought or upgraded.
Honoree
Meets the published threshold, with no integrity failure, after two independent reviews.
Distinguished Honoree
A higher published threshold plus adjudicator confirmation. Opens after the first cohort is calibrated.
Laureate
At most one per category per year, chosen by the full panel. Opens after at least two cohorts.
Lifetime Contribution Honor
A separate, nomination-only process. Never inferred from years of service alone.
Leadership career stages
Within Healthcare Leadership, an optional label describes career stage and scope. It is judged against role and opportunity, not the size of the institution.
Safeguards
- Reviewers declare personal, employer, family, financial, sponsor and founder conflicts before opening a file, and cannot score a conflicted file.
- The founder is recused from reviewing his own projects, employers, business partners and close associates.
- Sponsors never see scores and cannot influence selection or placement.
- Zero honorees in a category is a valid outcome. There are no winner quotas.
- No patient data is accepted: no names, record numbers, faces or identifying dates.
- Applicants can appeal within a published window. Corrections and revocations are shown on the public record.
What an honor is not
An honor is not a licence, a professional classification (such as SCFHS classification), specialist or consultant status, board certification, accreditation, CME credit, or permission to practise. We never use those words in award titles.
