Reviewers · peer review, credit only

Read someone’s best work as if it matters.

To them, it does.

Evinca is only as fair as its reviewers. We are building a reviewer pool from every region: clinicians, midwives, pharmacists, allied health professionals, educators and quality leaders with improvement, audit, research or teaching experience. People who judge evidence, not reputations.

Somewhere, a midwife in a district hospital has spent a year making births safer. She has never presented at a conference. Nobody has ever asked her exactly what she did. Your review may be the first time a stranger reads it carefully.

The reviewer’s promise.

I will read the evidence, not the name.

I will declare any conflict before I score.

I will score against the published rubric, not my preferences.

I will explain my scores, so the applicant can learn from them.

I will say “not yet” honestly, and kindly.

How a review works

Four steps, a few hours, from anywhere.

  1. January 2027

    Training

A short online course with practice cases, so reviewers in different countries score the same evidence the same way.

  2. February to March 2027

    Two to four dossiers

Each arrives blind: names, employers and contact details hidden. Each takes about 60 to 90 minutes, online, from anywhere.

  3. For every dossier

    Score and explain

You score against the published rubric and write feedback the applicant will read, whatever the outcome.

  4. When reviewers differ

    A second look

If two scores differ by more than 15 points, or anyone raises an integrity concern, an adjudicator reviews the file.

What you get

  • Public credit on our site as an Evinca reviewer.
  • US$5 of Evinca account credit for each completed review, spendable only on Evinca fees.
  • Training and calibration with reviewers from other regions.
  • A view of the best everyday work in healthcare, from places you may never visit.

What you never get

  • Cash. Reviewers are never paid in money, and credit has no cash value.
  • Anyone’s name, employer or contact details while you score.
  • A file from your own institution, or from anyone you are connected to.
  • Pressure to change a score. Disagreements go to an adjudicator, not to you.

Peer Reviewer track

Holders of a Distinction or Honor can train as Evinca Peer Reviewers. You earn a reviewer badge, a review-hours certificate for CPD, and US$5 of Evinca account credit per completed review, spendable on Evinca fees. Credit has no cash value and is never paid out. You never review colleagues from your own institution, and a calibration test comes first.

Who reviews what

MarkReviewed by
SpotlightAn editorial check of identity, role and consent, one verified independent colleague confirmation, and one independent reviewer. Administrators coordinate and decide; they do not score.
DistinctionTwo reviewers. If one is an Evinca editor, the record says so: “Reviewed by the Evinca editors and one independent reviewer”.
Honor and LaureateTwo independent, blind reviewers and the panel. If two independent reviewers cannot be found, that theme's results are delayed, never decided by the editors alone.
Anyone connected to the founder or an editorNever reviewed by them.
