Wording policy

How an honor may be described.

An Evinca Honor recognizes documented work. It must never read like a licence, a professional rank or a ranking. These rules apply to every title, badge, certificate and share text we produce.

The only title format

Evinca [Mark] · [Theme] · [Period]

The mark is Spotlight (monthly), Distinction (quarterly), Honor (annual) or Laureate. For example: Evinca Spotlight · Quiet Impact · October 2027, Evinca Distinction · Medication Safety · Q3 2027, 2027 Evinca Honoree — Patient Safety & Quality. The period always travels with the title, a profession or unit may follow as a tag, and every use links to the public record. A Verified Record states a measure and dates (“12 months without a fall with injury”), never a claim of zero harm. Evinca Fellow is always written in words.

Allowed

  • “Jane Doe | 2027 Evinca Honoree — Healthcare Education” with the record link
  • Listing it under Honors & Awards on LinkedIn or a CV
  • Your real job title, as issued by your employer or regulator, kept separate

Not allowed

  • Letters after your name (for example “Jane Doe, EH”)
  • Dropping the year, or calling it a certification or qualification
  • Calling a Spotlight or Distinction an “Honor”, or presenting People's Choice votes as a judged result
  • “Top”, “best”, “No. 1” or any ranking claim
  • Using it after the record is revoked or expired

Project Honors

A project is written as [Year] Evinca Honored Project — [Category] and always names the project, not the whole organisation. It must never be presented as an accreditation (such as CBAHI, JCI or Magnet), a ministry endorsement, or a “centre of excellence”, and the words “accredited”, “certified” and “best hospital” are never used.

If a rule is broken

We ask the holder to correct the wording within 14 days. Repeated or deliberate misuse can lead to revocation, which is shown on the public record.

This policy is our own standard and is stricter than most regulators require. It is not legal advice and does not replace the rules of your licensing body.
