How to read these stories
Every feature in this issue ends with the same four-line Evidence Passport.
The people in these stories did not apply to Evinca, were not reviewed by us, and are not Evinca honorees. We chose them because their work is well documented in public sources. Every number is linked to where it came from.
The Evidence Passport is the same format we will publish for every Evinca honor. What changed: the specific thing someone did differently. What was measured: the outcome, and how. Result: the numbers, as the source reports them. Limits: what the evidence cannot tell you.
Some of these stories are famous. The limits are usually not. We think a story is more trustworthy, not less, when its limits are printed next to its result.
