On LinkedIn
- On your profile, choose "Add profile section", then find "Honors & awards" (it sits under the additional or recommended sections).
- Title: the award exactly as issued, for example "2027 Evinca Honoree — Patient Safety & Quality".
- Issuer: The Evinca Review. Issue date: the month and year on your record.
- Description: one or two sentences on the work that was recognised, then the link to your public record so anyone can verify it.
- Optional: share a post with your record link. The page shows a preview card with your name and title.
Do not put an award under "Licenses & certifications". An award is not a licence or a certification, and listing it there can mislead employers and regulators.
On your CV
Add an "Honours and awards" section below your experience. One line each, most recent first:
2027 Evinca Honoree — Patient Safety & Quality. Structured maternity handover adopted across three units. Verify: [your record link]
In an email signature
Jane Doe | Midwife, Unit Quality Lead 2027 Evinca Honoree — Patient Safety & Quality · [record link]
What never to do
- Letters after your name (for example "Jane Doe, EH")
- Dropping the year, or keeping the title after a record expires or is revoked
- Calling it a certification, qualification or fellowship
- Adding ranking words: "top", "best", "No. 1"
Quick answers
Where do awards go on LinkedIn?
In the Honors & awards section of your profile, with the issuer, date and a link to proof. Not under Licenses & certifications.
Can I put an award after my name?
Not as letters. Write it as a separate line with the year, for example "2027 Evinca Honoree — Healthcare Education", and link to the record.
