Evidence-reviewed recognition for healthcare

Your work deserves to be on the record.

Evinca recognises nurses, midwives, doctors, pharmacists, allied health professionals, support staff and teams in every country, for improvements they can show. This guide explains what each category looks for, the evidence that makes a strong application, and what you gain.

How it works

From a story to a verified record.

  1. Share your story

Write what you changed, for whom and why it mattered. The Spotlight Story is free.

  2. Add your evidence

Before-and-after figures, dates and a colleague who can confirm your part.

  3. Independent review

Trained reviewers who declare conflicts score your file against a published method.

  4. Verified record

Approved work becomes a public record with a QR code anyone can check.

The recognition ladder

Start with one story. Build a record that grows.

Each level asks for more evidence and gives more back. Distinctions count toward the annual Honor. Laureates are chosen by the panel from that year’s honorees; nobody applies for them.

The Evinca recognition ladder Four ascending steps: Spotlight, monthly; Distinction, quarterly; Honor, annual; Laureate, the annual top recognition chosen by the panel. Spotlight MONTHLY Distinction QUARTERLY Honor ANNUAL Laureate ANNUAL, TOP
Monthly

Spotlight

A verified contribution that month

Evidence: Identity, role, consent and at least one independent colleague confirmation

  • Spotlight badge and dated e-certificate
  • Social card
  • A place in that month’s gallery
  • Colleague votes on the certificate, if you choose
Quarterly

Distinction

A judged improvement over one quarter, against a baseline

Evidence: Before-and-after data and two reviewers

  • Distinction badge and e-certificate
  • Written reviewer feedback
  • Counts toward the annual Honor
Annual

Honor

Sustained contribution over 12 months

Evidence: A full dossier, two blind reviews and a panel decision

  • Public verified record with QR code
  • Certificate with gold seal
  • Free cover set: magazine cover, card and story
  • Named in the annual issue
Annual, top

Laureate

At most one per theme per year, chosen from that year’s honorees

Evidence: The full panel. Nobody applies

  • Engraved medal and framed certificate
  • Extended magazine profile and cover
  • Press release and an invitation to speak

Evinca Fellow is earned automatically by holding Honors in Safety & Quality, Education and Leadership, plus a Research Milestone, within five years. Paying any fee never guarantees recognition.

Why it is trusted

Built so anyone can check it.

Independent reviewers

Reviewers declare conflicts and never review colleagues from their own institution.

A published method

Every application is scored against the same rubric, available on the Evinca website.

Verifiable records

Each record has an ID and QR code. Corrected or revoked records stay visible and marked.

Questions

Before you apply

Does it cost anything?

Applying is free during the current period. If fees are introduced, the price and refund terms are shown before you pay, and paying never guarantees recognition.

Can I apply as a team?

Yes. Teams can apply for a Team Honor, and individuals can name team members who contributed.

What about patient information?

Never include patient names or anything that could identify a patient. Applications containing such details are returned or declined.

Can I nominate a colleague?

Yes. Start a free Spotlight Story for them. Nothing appears until they accept.

Is an Evinca recognition a qualification?

No. It is an independent recognition of documented work. It is not a licence to practise, a professional qualification or an accreditation.

Your next step
